An afternoon of film, conversation and connection at the next special screening and mixer for aspiring filmmakers aged 16–25 at Turner Contemporary in Margate

1pm - 4pm

Inspired by themes of wonder, imagination, colour and curiosity, this vibrant short film screening celebrates bold storytelling from emerging filmmakers across the South East.

During the event, you’ll hear from industry professionals who will share insights into current opportunities for young filmmakers — from available funding to practical ways to get involved.

After the films, stay for a relaxed mixer where you can connect with fellow creatives, meet potential collaborators, and continue the conversation with our guest speakers.

Open to all young creatives — whether you’re an aspiring director, writer, actor, editor, costume designer, or simply curious about the screen industries.

Drinks and snacks will be provided.
