A lovely opportunity for families to explore the coastal space, discover more about permaculture, and learn about the links between land and sea at Margate's Newgate Gap
10.30am - 12.30pm
For five Tuesdays from 21st April to 19th May, the Windmill Community Gardens 'Cabbage Patch' will be spending some special time at the coast!
They are collaborating with the lovely Flints to run hands-on, family-friendly sessions at Newgate Gap... the home of Flints.
This is to give the gardens a little rest and allow some important maintenance to happen.
They'll be looking at coastal plants, meeting Selkie the seal and a couple of their friends, and enjoying gentle, nature-friendly activities.
On the day they will meet at Flints HQ which can be found: What Three Words: ///soak.secret.maps
Activities aimed at children under 7 and can include: Listening to the sea Waves, Wind and Moon / Growing by the sea Edible coastal plants and Garden Dreams / Caring for our Coast Native, Newcomers and Sea Harvests / At the Water's Edge Discovering life between land and sea.
This is an outdoor group... please wear appropriate sun and weather clothing.
