Help sow seeds on the Community Gardening Day at the Sunken Garden in Westbrook
10am - 12 noon
This is a fun activity for all the family in a wonderful outdoor space and everyone is welcome to join us in sowing seeds in the Garden for another beautiful summer.
Sowing love in the mist, cosmic orange cosmos, Queen Ann lace and foxgloves.
Also getting ready for the stall at Ellington May Fayre with seedlings & transplants of wallflower, echium, sedums, yarrow, mullian, marigold and fennel.
Come along to one of the regular Community Gardening Days... You'll be able to see the flowers appearing that you have helped to sow!
This month, alongside the seed sowing, there will be weeding, sweeping, pruning, litter picking and of course wildlife monitoring.
Tools and sustenance are provided or you are welcome to bring your own.
Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.
The Sunken Garden Society, a voluntary community group, was established to reinvigorate a hidden gem at the heart of Thanet, bringing back to its former glory for the local communities to use and enjoy. The Society is a RHS Affiliated Society, supported by Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Co-op, Kent Community Foundation, Rotary and Thanet District Council.
Regular monthly gardening days on the last Saturday of the month from 10am to 12 noon
