A two-hour mindful movement workshop designed for all levels with Margate-based artist and mover Ted Rogers at Margate's Turner Contemporary
6pm - 8pm
Foyle Rooms
Explore how movement and performative techniques can ground the nervous system, heighten sensory awareness and open new ways of feeling and perceiving the body.
This session uses continuous motion as a form of embodied meditation, guiding you through stretches, fluid pathways, improvisations both gentle and cathartic and shifting group formations.
You’ll explore how movement and performative techniques can ground the nervous system, heighten sensory awareness and open new ways of feeling and perceiving the body. Ted’s approach invites curiosity over perfection—an exploration of texture, pacing and collective presence as the room evolves moment by moment.
As a group, we aim to stay in unbroken motion, learning how to move near others with ease, remain attentive within a changing environment and adapt shapes to suit your own body and ability. Expect an atmospheric, physically rich experience that expands awareness and cultivates a deep sense of embodied connection.
Suitable for ages 18+
