Intimate, live, and accessible daytime gig
12 noon
Margate's own Kkailou performs live at the first of this season of 'tiny gigs'...
Designed to be accessible for those who can't do late nights or too-loud music, this intimate live performance at the We Are Here (WAH)roastery may be just for you...
Half of all proceeds go to disability rights charity Scope, the rest to the artist.
The gig will also be streamed live on YouTube for those who can't make it in person.
Hailing from Margate, Kkailou is the sonic project of songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Steph Dickinson. Known for her genre-defying style, she has collaborated with artists including Will Rees (Mystery Jets), Robbie Redway (United Freedom Collective), Lo Barnes, Truman, Tokyo Tea Room, Hughie Gavin, and Vince Pope. Her vocals also feature on the True Detective: Night Country soundtrack.
Drawing on her Cypriot and Irish heritage, Kkailou blends organic instrumentation with gritty electronics, underpinned by intimate, poetic lyricism. Her debut EP Midnight (2024), co-produced with Robbie Redway, marked a bold new chapter in her creative work.
Kkailou’s live performances move between stripped-back vulnerability and raw intensity, creating space for connection, reflection, and release.
Ticket prices have been tiered, but please reach out if you love to watch but need a free ticket as WAH want everyone to be able to join in and enjoy.
