A pioneer of the British reggae and dancehall scene, Tippa Irie first made his name on the iconic Saxon Sound System before enjoying an international career spanning over four decades.
Expect a high-energy set featuring reggae classics, dancehall favourites and the unmistakable style that has made him one of the UK’s most celebrated reggae artists.
Backing Tippa is the outstanding Upper Cut Band, one of London’s premier live reggae bands. Having performed alongside artists including Johnny Osbourne, Marcia Griffiths, Yellowman, Junior Reid, Jah9 and Big Youth, they deliver an authentic, powerful live reggae experience.
Opening the night is Laoness SHEROARFM, bringing her signature blend of roots reggae, dancehall, dub and Afrobeats. A respected artist, MC and selector, she has performed across the UK and internationally, earning a reputation for conscious music and captivating live performances.
DJ Mark Ross “The Boss” is an acclaimed British DJ, concert promoter, and radio voice-over artist best known for his foundational role in the UK urban music scene and his decades-long residency at London’s iconic Notting Hill Carnival.
Operating his own sound system, Mark Ross “The Boss” (SJP), he has been a prominent fixture at the festival for since the late 1980s pumping out classic hip-hop, urban, and dance music tunes. He remains a prominent and regular figure within the British Association of Sound Systems (BASS).
He frequently shares the stage or collaborates with seminal British reggae and dancehall icons like Tippa Irie.
