Discover a whole new side of this often misunderstood species group at a very special drawing class at Fort Road Hotel Bar in Margate
7pm - 9pm
Have you ever tickled the chin of a bearded dragon? Had your heart ignited by an iguana?
Be introduced to some gorgeous rescued and rehomed reptiles - snakes, lizards, and tortoises - who are living proof that while reptiles may be cold-blooded, they are definitely not cold-hearted.
Joined by Tom from Tom’s Talking Reptiles, who will teach about each of the ‘models’ amazing anatomy, aspects of which include the ability to 'grow a beard', the mysterious third eye of the iguana and the super senses of the snake. He will also discuss his rescue work, responsible pet ownership and the realities of living with reptiles.
The class will be lead by artist and wildlife enthusiast Jennie Webber, who will get you started with a drawing demo and her top tips for drawing a moving subject. Throughout the session, Jennie will be on hand with as much creative guidance as you would like.
The goal is for you to leave with not only some lovely drawings, but also a greater understanding and appreciation of the animals you’ve drawn.
10% of profits will be donated to Happy Endings Rescue, a small charity that offers refuge to neglected or abused animals in the Kent area.
