Human, Animal (BBC Radio 2 Book Club Pick) by Seth Insua and Emily Buchanan’s Send Flowers are two novels that explore activism. In Human, Animal a young farmer finds he sides with animal rights activists, while in Send Flowers a dead environmental activist lives on through a pot plant. The two authors talk about fiction that reflects activist life and how to imagine a brighter future. Chaired by Neil Griffiths (Arts Emergency and Firewall).
