Join the Crab Museum in Margate for an expert look at E. Coli,.
Open Wednesday - Sunday 11am - 5pm
Opening night 1st August 7.30pm - tickets here
To celebrate Margate Pride, friends from FLOW.WALK.DRAG. and local hero Shelly Grotto are taking over the Claw Learning Studio for a pop up exhibition exploring E. Coli.
The exhibition is curated by Flow.Walk.Drag. an art and science project that tells the story of Margate’s sewage problem from the perspective of E. Coli. She’s notorious, she’s toxic, but is she misunderstood? Swimming with her might be a crappy idea.
Shelly Grotto - a drag queen as hot as the climate - is using performance to turn the polluted tide on environmental injustice in Margate.
Shelly explains why drag is Margate's preferred type of environmental protest, engaging people with satire, joy and stickiness. She will introduce us to other drag performers using their platforms to fight ecological destruction.
The exhibition is at the museum from 1st - 10th August.
