Join Laura, creator of JoJo and Gran Gran, at Happy Reading Children's Bookshop for a joyful celebration of her new picture book 'Maya & Marley and the New Friend'!

1pm - 1.45pm

Perfect for children aged 3–6, this heartwarming event includes a lovely interactive storytime with Laura Henry-Allain MBE, creator of JoJo and Gran Gran, followed by a fun, book-inspired creative activity celebrating friendship, kindness and community.

Come along to meet one of Britain's most celebrated children's creators and be among the first to discover Maya and Marley's wonderful world.

Beautifully written by Laura Henry-Allain MBE and brought to life with vibrant illustrations by Yabaewah Scott, this uplifting picture book celebrates community, compassion and the joy of making new friends.

During the session, the responsible adult(s) are very welcome to enjoy their favourite coffee and pastry downstairs at STAPLE or come and hang out upstairs in the bookshop!!

Children will sit for the reading, then move to a play/craft table for activities. All materials are provided and age-appropriate.

Booking is essential — spaces are limited!
