Join bestselling Children's author Lucy Strange at Happy Reading Children's Bookshop for a very special in-person Book Club and Q&A session!

11am - 11:45am

This event has been specially designed for children who have already started reading the book before the event. Your ticket includes a copy of Murder on a Midsummer Night, which should be collected from Happy Reading Children's Bookshop (or posted to you if you select the postal ticket option) so you can enjoy the mystery before meeting Lucy, and an official book club work-book will be provided at the start of the event. Lucy will sign your copy at the end of the event.

Together you'll discuss the story, explore its twists and turns, ask Lucy all your burning questions and discover how she created this super fun murder mystery.

Perfect for readers aged 9–11 who love solving puzzles, spotting clues and getting lost in unforgettable stories.

Booking is essential - spaces are limited!

The bookshop is on the first floor, accessed via a flight of stairs.

Children will sit for the reading, then move to a play/craft table for activities. All materials are provided and age-appropriate.

Adults may stay for the event (limited seating available) or relax with a coffee and pastry downstairs in Staple.

Option 1 – Collect from Happy Reading Children's Bookshop before the event date - Collect your copy from the bookshop before the event so you can begin reading and join in the discussion.
Option 2 – Postal Ticket... receive your copy to read before the event date. Choose the postal ticket option and your book will be sent directly to you (UK postage included), giving you plenty of time to enjoy the story before Book Club - last order date for postal tickets is Friday 21st August 2026.
