Tuesday 26th May:
11am - Beady Trees and The Little Seed
Tree bead craft* and 'The Little Seed', by Magdalene Tsirkas, an interactive story telling. The little seed is blown underground and rained on. A shoot appears and the sun shines. Something is growing - what will it be? This session is for preschoolers 3+, and the young at heart, in celebration of The National Year of Reading. Warning - activity contains small parts.
12pm - Story Time - The National Year of Reading
Free story time in the picnic area at midday. No need to book.
1pm - Slugs and Snails
What's the difference between a slug and a snail?
Discover the benefits of these slimy gastropods. Learn how to label the parts of a snail and make your own paper snail with a curly shell. How many types of slugs and snails can you identify on the reserve?
Thursday 28th May:
11am - Bee Buddies
Join in for a hands-on candle rolling session to learn the craft of beeswax candle rolling. Discover the properties of natural beeswax. Take home your beautiful creation. Create a honeycomb hive poster and then 'bee spot.
