An intimate evening celebrating the launch of the Ramsgate Space Kitchen with an exclusive five-course seasonal supper by Chef Julian D Brown.
Inspired by the Kent coast and countryside, Julian’s menu showcases the very best of July, with carefully sourced local ingredients and elegant, seasonal cooking. From whipped smoked cod’s roe and tomato gazpacho to 45-day aged rare breed rib eye and fig leaf panna cotta, each course has been thoughtfully created to celebrate the flavours of our region.
After decades in the City, Julian swapped boardrooms for burning embers and has become one of the UK’s leading live-fire chefs. Now Head Chef at The Walled Garden, Cobham, he is renowned for combining exceptional seasonal British produce with influences from live-fire cooking, fermentation and preservation. Julian also leads the BBQ Cook School at Taste of London and regularly appears at food festivals across the UK, including The Big Feastival.
This evening marks more than the opening of a new kitchen. It marks the beginning of Ramsgate Space’s ambition to support the growth of Thanet’s food and drink sector by creating opportunities for chefs, food entrepreneurs, producers and community groups to develop new ideas, collaborate and bring exciting food experiences to our town.
