Join Nicci for this week's Sunday Book Club at the Happy Reading Children’s Bookshop celebrating ‘Beast Mode: The Animal Awakens’ by J.J. Arcanjo, a gripping first in a new chapter book series for children aged 10-12.

Beast Mode is a brand-new, action-packed series from the author of Crookhaven, following a group of street-smart kids who have the extraordinary ability to shapeshift into powerful animals.

This week's creative activity will be inspired by the story's theme of drawing our inner power!

Suitable for children aged 10-12
Event duration: approx. 30 minutes
Ticket price: £5 per child (includes a paperback copy of the book, usually £8.99)
Booking is essential — spaces are limited!

The bookshop is on the first floor, accessed via a flight of stairs.

Children will sit for the reading, then move to a play/craft table for activities. All materials are provided and age-appropriate.

Adults may stay for the event (limited seating available) or relax with a coffee and pastry downstairs in Staple.
