Connect with the coast, learn how it's changing, and what we can do to protect it, on this walk along Botany Bay.
Start time: 11am
Tideline is a youth-led collective fighting for the health of the wild coast and its communities.
"In Kent, we don’t often think of our sea as a wilderness. We may even think it’s rather empty or barren. Yet our sea contains habitats and wildlife that can be found almost nowhere else. From rare reef systems, and global migrations, to the world’s most iconic marine wildlife, our sea can offer us vital lessons in resilience amidst a rapidly changing world.
We believe everyone has the right to feel connected to the nature on their doorstep even those living beside the world’s busiest shipping lane. We also believe everyone has the right to know how their local nature is changing, and the impacts this will have on their local community."
During the walk, you will:
Meeting Location: Meet at the Botany Bay Beach Kiosk, before beginning the walk along the shore.
