Christmas Attraction Opening

ATTRACTION OPENING 

It may be the festive season but that doesn't stop our attraction elves from throwing open the doors and welcoming you in across Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate

The Visitor Information Centre Team will be available during the festive period for face-to-face, telephone, email and social media enquiries as follows:

OPEN: Wednesday 17th - Sunday 21st 10am-4pm, Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th December 11am-4pm and Tuesday 30th December & Wednesday 31st December 11am-4pm
CLOSED: Monday 22nd - Friday 26th December, Monday 29th December and Thursday 1st January ​
REOPEN: Wednesday to Sunday from Friday 2nd January 2026 10am-4pm

Ramsgate Visitor Information Centre at The Custom House will be closing at 12pm on Wednesday 24th December and open Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th January 11am to 3pm

Margate

• Crab Museum - Open 19th - 23rd December and 27th & 28th December, then closed until February
• Dreamland - Closed - events only
• Margate Caves - Open for ‘Christmas in Neverland’ 29th & 30th November, 6th & 7th, 13th & 14th and 19th-23rd December. Open 29th December - 4th January 11am-4pm
• Shell Grotto - Closed 15th - 26th December. Open daily 27th December - 4th January 11am - 4pm 
• Turner Contemporary - Gallery closes 5pm on Sunday 21 December and reopens Saturday 27 December at 11am. Open New Years Eve and New Year’s Day
• The WonderWorks - Open 24th December 10am-1pm, Closed 25th - 27th December, Re-opens 28th - Tuesday 31st December 10am-4pm, Closed 1st January and open Tuesday 2nd January 10am-4pm 
• CTRL ALT ESC - Closed 25th & 26th December
• The Escapement - Open 24th December 9.30am - 5pm, Closed 25th & 26th December, Re-open 27th December 9.30am - 10pm

Broadstairs

• Crampton Tower Museum - Open for Santa’s Grotto 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st December, then closed until 2026 Season
• Dickens House Museum - Open for Christmas Events  29th & 30th November, 6th & 7th and 13th & 14th December. The closed until 2026 season
• Elev8 - 24th and 31st December 11am-4pm and 27th - 30th December 11am-6pm. Closed 25th & 26th December and 1st January. 
• Revolution Skatepark and Climbing Centre - Open 23rd, 27th, 30th and 31st December and 2nd January 10am-4pm / 24th, 26th December and 1st January 10am-2pm/ 28th, 29th December and 4th and 5th January 10am-8pm/ 3rd January 10am-10pm   
• Westwood Cross Shopping Centre - Please check individual businesses for specific hours

Ramsgate

• Ramsgate Tunnels - Closed for Christmas and New Year
• The Micro Museum - Open Sunday 29th and Monday 30th December for Chill on the Hill

Villages

• Monkton Nature Reserve - Closed from 14th December until the 3rd January
  
• Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens - Open 30th November, 1st December, 7th December, 8th December and 1st January for events 
• Quex Adventure Farm Park - Open for Christmas on the Farm  29th November - 31st December
• RAF Manston History Museum - Closing Sunday 21st December then reopening Monday 5th January 2026.
