The Palace Cinema
The Palace is a cosy independent cinema in a lovely Listed building, showing the very latest independent releases from around the world.
The Palace may look tiny from the outside, but step into the foyer to find fresh coffee, popcorn, sweets and our small licensed bar before taking your seat in the lovely auditorium; we have 111 seats in all, spread between a magical balcony and the gorgeous stalls below.
The auditorium's large screen stretches almost the width of the building, with perfect views from any seat. The building may be well over a hundred years old but the films are shown using the very latest digital projection and fantastic surround sound.
There are 3 steps up to the Cinema entrance, with no ramp alternative. A more accessible, sloped side entrance can be used, please ask staff in advance.
There are 13 steps down to the stalls and 2 up to the balcony. The stalls are wheelchair-accessible. The Cinema can accommodate 2 wheelchairs at a time. The max width wheelchair we can fit inside is 72cm.
Assistance Dogs welcome.
Accessible toilets available next door at The Pavilion.
The nearest disabled parking is at Harbour Car Park (CT10 1NE) approximately 100 metres from the Cinema.
