An exhibition by Roy Eastland at Joseph Wales Studio in Margate
Open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 4.30pm
This exhibition draws together Roy Eastland’s silverpoint ‘Displaced Portraits’, his sketchbooks and drawings from life.
The common thread throughout is human presence, memory and trace.
Winner of the RBSA Portrait Prize and SGFA Small Works Award, his work has been shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, Jerwood Drawing Prize, RBSA Drawing Prize, RP Drawing Prize, Discerning Eye Drawing Bursary, BP Portrait Award and others.
He teaches and has taught Life Drawing and given talks on Drawing at UCA, V&A, Turner, Turps, CCCU, Draw Brighton, Adult Education and others.
