Bringing together two writers exploring rewilding and mythic consciousness through fascinating tales of the sometimes thorny relationship between man and nature, environmentalism and modernity.
Adam Weymouth’s book Lone Wolf: A Journey into the Wild Heart of the Alps retraces the migration of a GPS-tracked wolf from Slovenia to Italy, examining the changes affecting the European wilderness. Lone Wolf was shortlisted for the Baillie Gifford prize for non-fiction, and won the the Sherborne Travel Writing Prize.
Zoe Gilbert is a novelist whose work explores the dark mythic realms of British folklore and how they interact with the 21st century. In her novel Mischief Acts, Herne the Hunter - spirit of the forest - encounters urban sprawl and modern revels, while shapeshifting through time. Mischief Acts was a Sunday Times Book of the Year.
