Stormy Sundays bring the sound of Etta James, Prince, Adele and more to The Oval.
Bringing their rich, powerful sound to The Oval Bandstand for an afternoon that moves from classic soul and R&B through to rock and contemporary favourites.
An experienced four-piece live band, Stormy Sundays draw on an impressive catalogue of music from Etta James, Beverley Knight, Prince, Adele, Joe Cocker, Bonnie Raitt and Chris Stapleton – artists known for great songs, distinctive voices and plenty of soul.
Expect the classics you know, a few tracks you might not expect, and a band that knows how to deliver them live. It’s a set made for sitting back with a drink in the sunshine – although we suspect you might not stay sitting for long.
The popular summer season of concerts is back, and this year there are even more performances across a wider variety of genres at The Oval Bandstand & Lawns. The Oval's Summer Sundays concerts take place throughout the summer season (subject to weather conditions). Bandstand concerts are back for a glorious summer of entertainment!
All persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
A fully licensed bar and food is available (alcohol and food is not to be brought into venue, bag searches are in operation).
Fully accessible toilet facilities are available. All seating areas have step-free access.
There is no car parking at the venue, please use public transport, bicycles, or arrive on foot. There is very limited local car parking and charges may apply.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but they MUST be kept on a lead at all times whilst in the bandstand auditorium.
